A part of the BBC Proms coming to Melbourne- Sydney Youth Orchestras perform this interactive concert which will feature repertoire by the very best classical composers- especially Haydn and Mozart. Designed to help inspire a life long love of music and capture the hearts, minds and imaginations of small children (aged 2-8).

"Presented in an entertaining, engaging and educational style, Classics for Kids is a celebration of music sure to delight little ones who may be surprised that the talented young musicians performing are in fact not much older than themselves! Each performance makes learning about music accessible and fun for young audiences, with an introduction to instruments and even an opportunity to meet the musicians after the concert.

Classics for Kids encourages everyone to participate and there are lots of fun interactive elements so you can enjoy getting involved including a CBeebies guest appearance by Duggee the dog from Hey Duggee.  Legendary music educator John Ockwell conducts and narrates, introducing children to the orchestral instruments, the concepts of dynamics and tempi, as well as a classical orchestra.

A great introduction to the world of live classical music, conducting and musical instruments."
